Brief Overview

At 4” in length, the Atmos RX is one of the smallest, solid concentrate vaporizers available. Despite its small form factor, the Atmos RX produces large clouds of vapor at the press of a button. The RX features a coil skillet style heating element and a ceramic chamber to produce clean vapors in just seconds.

When using with aromatic blends, we HIGHLY suggest using a glass screen so that your blend does not make contact with the heating coil, which can cause overheating. Using an RX with aromatic blends and no glass screen is not recommended.

See User Guides below for full usage information.

Using Your RX

A: We definitely recommend reading the full instructions located on the ‘User Guide’ tab, but here is a quick rundown on RX Usage:

Charge the RX – This could take a few hours the first time, but subsequent charges should not take longer than 46-60 minutes.

Load the RX – This is easily done by removing the mouthpiece, and using the included tool to apply your solid concentrates on top of the atomizer coil, or insert a glass screen and load your aromatic blends on top. Do not load too much, more than a sessions worth is definitely too much. Replace mouthpiece.

Power up and Draw – If the switch on the RX is locked, unlock by pressing the button five times. This enables the power switch and the RX is ready to use. Press the button and immediately begin drawing from the RX. Draw until you have had your fill, or the ten-second shut off turns the atomizer off.

A: When using solid concentrates, its vital that you only use that which melts cleanly and leaves no particulate behind. This particulate can overheat when in contact with the atomizer coil, shortening its lifespan.

When using aromatic blends, ensure you have the glass screen in place. Varying your draw rate slightly will allow you to adjust the density of the vapor output, slower draws will create thicker vapors, and quicker draws will create slightly thinner vapors.

The air intake on the RX is controlled, so there is only a small amount of adjustment you can make to your draw rate.

A: The RX was designed mainly for aromatic blends and solid concentrates. Avoid using liquids that do not solidify at room temperatures.
A: Yes. The AC adapter for the USB charging cable is rated from 100v to 240v, however you may need an outlet adapter for locations outside of North America.

USB Charging is also available.

A: The atomizer coil is NiChrome, the crucible is ceramic, and the mouthpiece is silicone.
A: Nichrome. Nichrome is a non-magnetic alloy of nickel, chromium, and often iron, usually used as a resistance wire in applications from atomizer coils to toasters and beyond.
A: Overheating is definitely possible. With aromatic blends, its vital that you use a glass screen. This keeps your aromatic blends from making direct contact with the coil, which can lead to overheating. Using an RX with aromatic blends and without a glass screen is not recommended.
A: With solid concentrates, we don’t recommend loading more than one sessions worth.

With aromatic blends, you can load as much as you can fit in the chamber, as long as you don’t load it too tightly.

A: Inspect your blends as you use the RX, the color will dictate the need for stirring.

If, after the first few times you stir your blends, you find that the blend seems to be browning evenly, you are loading it properly, and may not need to stir.

If you are finding that your blend is browning unevenly, trying loading it *slightly* more loosely.

A: As a general safety rule, do not leave the RX unattended while powered on.
A: The atomizer coil is not rebuildable, so when it eventually expires, replace with a new one.

Atomizers will last 4-5 weeks with normal use, your experience may vary.

A: There are no screens in the RX, but if you want to use aromatic blends, we definitely recommend a glass screen: Atmos Glass Screen.
A: Li-Ion, 650mAh with 601 threading.

Cleaning & Maintenance

A: Always allow the RX to cool COMPLETELY before cleaning, 30 minutes should be sufficient.

Use the included brush/tool to clean inside the crucible, but be EXTREMELY careful not to make contact with the atomizer coil, it can be damaged very easily.

Any solid concentrate that has collected on the outside of the RX can be cleaned with a warm, damp washcloth.

The mouthpiece and top section of the body that unscrews will incur the most buildup, especially with the use of solid concentrates. This can be cleaned by soaking in isopropyl alcohol.

Always make sure your vaporizer is COMPLETELY dry before plugging it back in.

Do not attempt any internal or external repairs to your unit as doing so may cause fatal injury – or worse – void your warranty! (Please contact us if you feel something is wrong with your vaporizer.)

A: Inspect your RX each time you use it. Make sure the coil is working perfectly, and that no debris or buildup is clogging the holes. Check the inside of the mouthpiece often, it will get dirty the fastest.

Atomizers will last 4-5 weeks with normal use. Replace as needed.

A: Only on the mouthpiece, and the top metal section that unscrews. Do not use liquids to clean the atomizer coil.

Getting the Most Out of Your RX

  • Keep your RX as clean as possible to ensure peak performance.
  • When using with aromatic blends, you will definitely want to use a glass screen, which keeps the blends from making contact with the atomizer coil. Contact with the coil will lead to instant overheating.
  • When using with solid concentrates, only load as much as one session will use. Overloading will effect performance.

Maintenance

One of the benefits of pen vaporizers is their ultimate simplicity. Cleaning is often an after thought, Atmos has included a handy tool and brush that should be used to clean the inside of the RX as needed. Make sure you do not contact the coil with the metal tool, it could be easily damaged.

The top metal cap and mouthpiece will definitely need occasional soaking in isopropyl alcohol, inspect them often and keep them clean.

If any concentrate makes it on the outside of the RX, it can be removed with a warm damp cloth.

Need Assistance with your RX?

Try these Solutions to common issues:

A: Ensure that your battery is fully charged, and that the safety lock is not engaged by clicking the power button five times. You should see the light on the button blinking, if not plug the battery in and fully charge it.

If you have a fully charged battery that isn’t locked, and you still have no heating, ensure that the connection contacts are clean, and that the heating chamber is fully screwed onto the battery. If you still have no heating, its possible that the atomizer has failed. Replace as needed.

A: This is entirely possible. If you are not using a glass screen above the coil, your blends will make contact with the coil and instantly overheat. Always use a glass screen with aromatic blends.
