Brief Overview

Pulsar is back with an exclusive wax version of their massively popular APX portable vaporizer. Like the dry material version of the APX, the new APX Wax is ultra-affordable and compact, and features incredible build-quality. The APX Wax is a must-have, and by far the most high-quality device in its class.

Usage

A: First assure your Pulsar APX Wax is fully charged.

To do that, charge via USB provided.

  • First remove the glass cover/mouthpiece to expose the heating chamber and carefully load your concentrate directly to the coil of the unit.
  • If your concentrates are stickier APX recommends pre-heating the unit for about 4 seconds to allow your wax to easily melt onto the coils.

  • Once loaded replace the glass cover and turn the unit on.
  • To do this click the power button 5 times quickly, the LED’s will flash as the device turns on.

  • Next press and hold the power button to engage the heating element.
  • The logo on the unit will turn from red to green when the unit has reached drawing temperature and you can begin to draw from the unit while still holding down the power button.
When you’re finished with your draw release the power button and clear the rest of the vapor in the mouthpiece with the end of your inhale.
And that’s it; this unit is really simple and straight forward.

A: No, we recommend purchasing the Pulsar APX designed for dry materials.
A: It’s best to not fill the heating chamber full. Just apply enough for one session at a time. The Pulsar APX Wax was not designed to hold more than one session at a time.

    Accessory

A: The Pulsar APX Wax atomizers are not rebuildable, you can replace them very easily by disconnecting them from the unit, and replace with a fresh atomizer coil.

    Cleaning & Maintenance

If you need to remove residue from the crucible, we recommend doing a burn-off.
A: On certain parts alcohol is fine. The top cap will incur the most buildup, soaking it in alcohol or cleaning with alcohol soaked cotton swab are effective cleaning methods.

Cleaning the atomizer is not recommended, replace as needed.

Make sure you don’t expose the atomizer or battery to any liquids whatsoever. If you need to clean the outside of the Pulsar APX Wax , use a warm damp cloth. If the Pulsar APX Wax gets wet in any way, allow to dry in the sun or a warm dry area until COMPLETELY DRY. Attempting to use the Pulsar APX Wax if wet will cause serious damage to the unit.

Getting the Most Out of Your Pulsar APX Wax

    • Drawing after the heater has cooled down will allow the air vents to stay free of blockage.
    • Never leave a Pulsar APX Wax in a hot car. Ever.
    • Allowing the Pulsar APX Wax to freeze can damage the atomizer. Avoid temperatures below 40 degrees.
    • Use caution with the included tool, as it could damage the atomizer coil if you aren’t careful.
    • Overloading more than one session’s worth of concentrate is a potential recipe for mess.

Need Assistance with your Pulsar APX Wax?

Try these Solutions to common issues:

A: A few things could be causing this. Is the 5-click safety lock in place? Try clicking your Pulsar APX Wax button five times and see if anything happens.

Are you getting any light at all from the button? If not, make sure that its charged properly. This seems obvious, until you realize the power strip you were plugged into wasn’t turned on. Or…the USB port you were plugged into wasn’t actually a powered USB port. Or…there are many reasons to think your vaporizer is charging…when it isn’t. It happens all the time.

If you have charged it fully, and unlocked the power button, and are still getting no vapors, remove the mouthpiece, press the button, and see if the atomizer is at least getting warm?

If you have no activity from a fully charged Pulsar APX Wax , it’s possible that your atomizer has died. We’ll have replacement atomizers available.

A: Make sure your Pulsar APX Wax is fully charged, and the atomizer coil is fully seated and loaded properly (not overloaded).
A: If this occurs, allow the Pulsar APX Wax to heat up for five seconds, and try to draw, this should allow the blockage to free itself.

As you continue to use the Pulsar APX Wax , be mindful of this blockage potential. One trick to prevent it from happening is to continue to draw through through the Pulsar APX Wax once a minute as it is cooling. Once all the internals have cooled to room temperature, you can stop.
